Our Pre-Apprenticeship course aims to provide learning opportunities for those considering a career in the construction sector through an Apprenticeship system. The course covers an array of practical and theory modules including woodwork, electronics, technical drawing, metalwork and physics which will broaden the knowledge, skills and competencies for progressing towards an Apprenticeship. To further enhance knowledge and the learner experience, learners will be offered the opportunity to participate in the Safepass and Manual Handling Programs.
Learners will gain the opportunity to develop in a personal capacity, through confidence building among many extracurricular activities, as other modules in the course cover personal and interpersonal development and team working with the opportunity to participate in some sports. Work Experience is a fundamental part of the course. As such, Learners are offered work-related supports to help with their progression.
Graduates of the course have progressed into employment with many progressing into registered apprenticeships in Carpentry, Painting, Plumbing and Toolmaking.
