Course Overview

Our Sound Engineering & Music Performance course aims to provide learning opportunities for those with a passion for music who are considering turning that passion into a career. The course allows learners to develop their musical skills, ability and creativity through tuition, music technology and instrument or vocal performance. Learners study a combination of instrumental techniques, music theory, music industry studies, sound production and engineering and music practice. To further enhance the learner experience, learners will have access to all the required equipment and software to ensure their creativity becomes a reality and their certification requirements are achieved.
Learners will also gain the opportunity to develop in a personal capacity as other modules in the course cover personal effectiveness and communications. Work Experience is a fundamental part of the course. As such, Learners are offered work-related supports to help with their progression.
Graduates of the course have progressed into successful musical careers both nationally and internationally. Many graduates have progressed to TUS (former AIT), Ballyfermot College of Further Education and BIMM (British and Irish Modern Music Institute).
